Hey There

When deciding to work with someone closely in achieving health and wellness, I know how important it is to have a better understanding of who they are. That's why I want to share my story with you to help you understand my heart for coaching people like you who are uncertain about the future of their health but know it's time to make a change. Read more below...

My Story

The doctor's words hung in the air: "Pre-diabetes." Despite years of following what I thought was a healthy lifestyle, there I sat, facing the very condition I had desperately tried to avoid. With a mother who developed type 2 diabetes at just 35 years old, I had witnessed firsthand the struggles this condition brings. Now, it seemed I was heading down the same path despite my best efforts.

This moment became my turning point—a divine wake-up call that would ultimately lead me to discover that the missing piece in my wellness journey wasn't another diet plan or exercise routine. It was Jesus.

The Incomplete Puzzle

For years, my pursuit of health was driven by worldly desires: to be thin, attractive, and desirable. I even became a lifestyle coach for a program centered on low-glycemic living, believing I had found the answer. Yet something fundamental was missing. Though this program had a godly approach, I wasn’t truly focused on nurturing the entire being—mind, body, and spirit.

These efforts, disconnected from my spiritual life, led only to frustration and discouragement. I was treating my body as something separate from my spiritual journey, focusing on external results rather than honoring the temple God had given me. The words of 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 eventually illuminated my path: "Your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who lives in you and was given to you by God. You do not belong to yourself, for God bought you with a high price. So you must honor God with your body."

This scripture transformed my understanding of wellness. My body wasn't just mine to shape according to worldly standards—it was a sacred dwelling place for God's Spirit, purchased at the precious price of Christ's sacrifice.

A Family Legacy Interrupted

"Type 2 diabetes runs in my family—until it ran into me!" This has become my testimony as I've worked to reverse the pre-diabetic condition that once threatened my future. After my wake-up call, I shifted away from the plan I had been following and moved toward a moderate-carb approach with intermittent fasting. This change effectively reversed my pre-diabetes and insulin resistance, putting me on a path toward metabolic flexibility.

But the physical transformation was only part of the story. Through my coaching experiences, God led me to Revelation Wellness and their LiveWell Health Coaching Program. I immediately recognized this as His divine direction—what He had been guiding me toward all along.

His Image Bearer

Through LiveWell, I've come to understand myself as a triune being—mind, body, and spirit—created in the image of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. This “WHOLE”istic view has revolutionized my approach to wellness. Instead of seeing health as merely physical, I now recognize the interconnectedness of all aspects of my being.

I've begun fully living IN MY BODY by emulating the habits that Jesus demonstrated throughout His earthly life:

•    Eating foods my body was designed to consume for energy
•    Moving my body for better ability and function
•    Prioritizing rest and creating margin in my life
•    Meditating on God's Word through scripture reading and prayer

These practices have transformed not just my physical health but my entire being. I no longer blame my body or myself for its condition. Instead, I've learned to see health as a journey, not a destination—a daily walk with Christ rather than a finish line to cross.

The Temple Restored

As I've honored the body God gave me and treated it as His temple, I've experienced a deeper connection with Him. By not defiling this temple with unholy things, I've created space for God to work in and through me more powerfully. My quiet time with God and community with other believers have become the most precious and transformative practices in my wellness journey.

When the enemy tries to make me feel less than worthy, my faith provides the truth I need about my body and my identity in Christ. I'm learning to live life and live it abundantly, as Jesus promised in John 10:10. This abundant life isn't about perfection or achievement but about wholeness—integrating faith and wellness in a way that honors God with every aspect of my being.

Called to Serve

As 1 Peter 4:10 reminds us, "As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God's varied grace." My experiences—both the struggles and victories—have become gifts that compel me to share what I've learned with others who are on similar journeys.

Through the Revelation Wellness program, I am being equipped to walk alongside others as they discover the freedom that comes from Christ-centered wellness. I pray that my willingness to be vulnerable about my journey will encourage others to press on, keeping their hearts turned toward God so they too might live the abundant life He has called them to as heirs to the throne.

I bring a unique perspective to health coaching—I've walked the path that many are facing and have found the freedom they are searching for. Not through perfect eating or exercise plans, but through placing Jesus at the center of my wellness journey.

The Journey Continues

Today, I stand in gratitude for that wake-up call that revealed my pre-diabetic condition. What seemed like bad news became the catalyst for the most profound transformation of my life—one that integrated my faith and my health in ways I never imagined possible.

My journey isn't over. I continue to learn, grow, and sometimes struggle. But the foundation has shifted from seeking worldly standards of health to honoring God with my body, mind, and spirit. And in that shift, I've found the wholeness I was seeking all along.

As I prepare to step into my role as a LiveWell Health Coach, I carry this testimony: when we place Jesus at the heart of our wellness journey, we discover that He was the missing piece all along. True health—abundant life—flows from Him alone.
