Being conscious about your health doesn't have to break the bank. There are plenty of everyday staples that can be used on the Trim Healthy Mama Plan that can help you achieve a healthy lifestyle.
With grocery prices getting higher by the minute, it may seem like healthy living might be out of reach, but that doesn't have to be the case.
Incorporate some of these basic staples to help you get on your way to a balanced and nourished lifestyle!
Eggs, nonfat Greek yogurt and kefir, low-fat cottage cheese, cheese, lean meats like ground turkey and chicken, frozen non-starchy veggies, berries, and fruits like mango, cherries, and peaches, leafy greens, okra, unsweetened nut milk such as almond or cashew, canned or dried beans and lentils, brown rice and quinoa, oatmeal, fresh fruits like apples, pears, peaches, plums, and mandarin oranges, veggies like carrots, sweet potatoes, celery, cucumbers, zucchini, summer squash, and many others all just an example of lots of basic foods that can be purchased at reasonably low prices.
Limit your use of special ingredients
Finding a few special ingredients that will help you stay on plan can be more beneficial and cost effective than loading up on all the special ingredients highlighted on THM.
I personally find having THM Baking Blend, THM Gentle Sweet, THM Pristine Whey Protein or THM Creamy Dreamy Hemp Protein, and an on-plan collagen on hand help me to make the most of the recipes offered in the THM Cookbooks while still keeping my budget in check! Find the THM Starter Bundle here.
You can also find lots of excellent THM recipes and bloggers who specialize in budget-friendly meal plans and no special ingredient recipes to help mamas on tight budgets enjoy THM while staying thrifty! If you are fortunate enough to have an Aldi grocery store near you, there are so many wonderful on-plan staples that can be bought there at reduced prices.
